Though I don’t usually get into the habit of trying to write a good sentence, I do pick up or read, as much as I can, a couple sentences in the morning or afternoon. A couple of sentences in the morning or afternoon can be distracting, but that’s always the best time to start the day.

One of the things you want to do when you wake up in the morning is to take a minute to go through and catch your thoughts. The things you write in the morning will be different than what you write in the afternoon. I’ve seen more than one person who was a very intelligent party-looper. That’s one of the things you want to do when you leave the morning.

This is true. One of the things that I see too easily when I leave the morning and go to the afternoon is that I stop thinking about anything. I never really stop thinking, but I stop being aware of my thoughts. I just sort of drift away from them. I don’t even remember what I was thinking last night. The point being, we’re constantly in a state of non-thought.
